Install
Use Morbium in your browser, or install the desktop app on macOS, Windows, or Linux, then sign in and finish first-run setup.
Morbium comes two ways. Morbium Web runs in your browser with nothing to install. Morbium Computer is a desktop app that works with folders on your machine, with a built-in terminal and offline access. They share the same account, so your plan and sign-in carry across both.
Morbium on the web
The fastest way to start is in your browser. Open Morbium, sign in, and begin a project. There is nothing to download, and it works on any operating system.
Choose the web version if you want to try Morbium quickly or work from any machine. Choose the desktop app, below, when you want to build against a local project folder, use the built-in terminal, and keep working offline.
Morbium Computer (desktop)
Morbium Computer is the desktop app. Download it, sign in, and you are ready to build.
Download
Get the latest version from the download page. Pick the build for your operating system:
- macOS: a
.dmgfor Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. - Windows: an
.exeinstaller. - Linux: an
AppImage.
Install
macOS
- Open the downloaded
.dmg. - Drag Morbium into your Applications folder.
- Launch it from Applications. On the first launch, macOS may ask you to confirm you want to open it.
Windows
- Run the downloaded
.exeinstaller. - Follow the prompts. Morbium installs for the current user and creates a Start menu entry.
- Launch Morbium from the Start menu.
Linux
- Make the downloaded
AppImageexecutable:chmod +x Morbium-*.AppImage. - Run it by double clicking, or from a terminal:
./Morbium-*.AppImage.
Morbium uses an account to manage your plan and the built-in model. On first launch you will be asked to sign in or create an account. After signing in, a short onboarding explains the basics and lets you connect your own model provider if you want one. You can also do that later in Settings.
Your sign-in persists across restarts, so you only do this once per machine.
Start building
Create or open a project and describe what you want to build. The Quickstart walks through your first board end to end.
Updates
Morbium checks for updates automatically and can download them in the background. You control this in Settings under Updates, where you can set updates to install automatically, notify you first, or stay off. When an update is ready, Morbium installs it the next time you quit.
Trouble getting started
If the app will not open or cannot reach its engine, see Troubleshooting.
