References

Give Morbium extra context by adding local folders or Git repositories as references you can pull into a session.

References are external sources you make available to Morbium as context: a local folder of datasheets, a shared library, or a Git repository of example designs. Once added, you can pull them into a session with @.

Add references

Configure references under the references key in morbium.json:

{
            "references": {
              "datasheets": { "path": "~/hardware/datasheets" },
              "examples": { "git": "https://github.com/your-org/reference-designs" }
            }
          }

  • A path reference points at a local folder.
  • A git reference points at a repository Morbium can pull in.

Use references

Type @ in the composer to search your references and the project, and pick what to include. The AI then has that material as context for the request, so it can follow a datasheet's pinout or match an example design.

When to use them

References are useful for material you reuse across projects: part datasheets, your team's standard subsystems, or a repository of designs you want Morbium to learn from. Keeping them as references, rather than copying files into every project, keeps your projects clean and your context consistent.
